Inseparably Loved (Part 2)
Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In Part 1 of this topic of the Inseparable love of God, we looked at the question posed in Romans 5:35 "Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?” (NLT). In other words, if you look at your life and what's happening around you, do you find yourself asking: does God still love me? If God loves me, why are these happening?
There will be different factors to consider in everyone's situation, but some things are sure, based on what we know about the nature of God. Last time, we looked at the first truth: in all things, victory is ours through Jesus! We can rest assured that in Jesus, our victory has been secured.
This time around, we will be looking at the second truth, and in fact, a conclusion we would prayerfully remind ourselves about time and time again. It would likely be a tough one sometimes, especially in the midst of life’s challenges. Here’s it: “I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.”
